Meet My New Best Friend.

Heidi

My first rescue hound
Read her story below......
Puppy farm dogs put up for adoption by RSPCA

Dogs damaged by the conditions they were kept in on a puppy farm are being put up for adoption by an RSPCA centre. Llys Nini RSPCA in Swansea has cared for 21 adult dogs taken from a site in Pembrokeshire, but says the animals are not used to being outdoors or on leads.

Heidi,  has not learnt how to play because she has been locked up all her life, she is 7 years old.
They dogs have been kept separate from other dogs while used for breeding, said the RSPCA's Alison Lenihan. She said: "They don't know how to play."

The centre, at Penllergaer, was part of a joint operation with the Dogs Trust and Pembrokeshire council's animal health team which removed 41 dogs from the Pemrokeshire establishment.
The rest of the removed dogs are in Dogs Trust centres around the UK.
"These dogs are a bit agoraphobi and are  not used to socialising with humans.

"Whoever adopts them needs to be aware of this. They are not going to be adopting dogs who are ready for the home.
"They don't know basic commands. They don't know the word 'no' or how to play. They have never been in that situation with humans. She  have lived her life in isolation. Never shown kindness or Love.

I'll keep you posted on her progress......

Oh My Goodness

I can't believe the last time I posted was Rachael's 21st Birthday... That was in August!

It was also the time that I lost my Beloved Basset Molly.  Maybe that's why I haven't posted.
Which starts me thinking about crafting... and how we feel when we are making a card, project etc.

Can you craft when your sad...are you someone that can loose  themselves in their craft and forget about all other problems.
If we are sad/happy does it show  in our work.
I don't think I'm very good at crafting when I'm sad... I just can't seem to get started on any kind of project.
So it must be that crafting make me happy... and I'm happy when I craft!
Thank goodness I'm not spending a load of money on something that makes me miserable hahahahha

The picture above is something Rachael taught me to make.  It opens up and has a book of post it notes inside and it's kept closed with a little  magnetic snap clasp.  I'll be trying this one again... .Loved it.

The cuttlebug quilling dies are fast becoming one of my favorites things. Unlike Juile Andrews who apprently likes whiskers on kitten, Obviously not a crafter hahahha

                                                                             Here's a 50th Tunnel birthday card I made for a friend....

Wish I had more time to have played with this  one... but as usual it was last minute, morning of her birthday, quick make.

I love this Magnolia stamp and it was due to a friend sending me a card with it on that made me go out and buy it.  Thanks Anne.xx                 This was a birthday wish for my Mother in Law
And last but not least a Thank You card for Lorna..xx      for being such a good friend and sending me such wonderful papers.. she always seems to know.. Just what I like

Oh No! Now I have that Julie Andrews song in my head.... and I just know it's going to be stuck there all day.
These were a few of my favorite things ;O)

Happy Crafting!

Happy 21st Birthday Darling Daughter

Today's the day... My darling daughter in 21 years old.
She's very camera shy...(this is one of the reasons scrap booking is a problem for me... not enough pictures).  So I sneaked a couple of clicks when she wasn'ts looking.
Red Hair =Art Student

Where's my little blonde baby gone?
She's all grown up.

The birthday card I made was quickly done... and put together very late at night.  Admittedly not my best but Rachael loves Orchids and Cherry blossoms.  She also likes very plain, simply, cards.

Below is one she made for her Dad which I forgot to post.  I found it on the camera while I was downloading pics this morning.
I also wanted to say a big "Thank You" to Lorna.. who sent me a wonderful butterfly die to cheer me up.  Thank you Lorna your such as thoughtful friend.  I love my die..Here's a card I made using my it.

For My Girls

This post is for my girls... sadly no longer with me.
I suppose it's my way of saying goodbye.
To Molly (If ever I had a soul mate she was it) and Megan
My fiery red head...so full of fun and attitude.
My world just isn't the same without them.
They are sorely missed.

Oh My Goodness

Look at the date of my last post.  It's shameful how long it's been since I last submitted some work.

I've made a few cards using some dies that' I  purchased  because they were super cute and made by a very clever lady called Jane.(These dies are exclusives and are available at http://www.scrapyland.com/ )

Mrs Ramsbottom .. the ewe.. has been coloured with cat's eye chalk inks she was cut using different coloured card.  The dragon had been cut from white card and coloured with copics.

I am currently trying to build up my distress ink collection so that I can have a go at colouring with those.

Heres is a quick thank you card . The flower is a Sizziz Die cut in Grunge Board and coloured with Ranger Distress Crackle Paint and Perfect Pearls.

Now for some Scrapbook pages.

Here's my little water baby.  This L/O was completed from a starting blox on the  Scrapyland web site.

You have to submit two a month .. but Susan the lady that publishes the blox is very laid back with us.

The next L/O is a double dog dare form the same site. (Double page blox).

Forgive the quality of the pics... the true colours never seem to quite show through on the blog.

Hope you enjoy looking.
