Layout No 5

Here's a Quick attempt at a Christmas Layout. Rachael was 3 to 4 years old in this pic... it was her 1st visit to see Santa. I So wish I had taken more pictures when she was younger.
You can never seem to have enough when they are all grown up.

Background paper made by myself using glimmer mist's... Perfect Pearls and some Tim Holtz Inks. Alphabet is Broadway Melody.
All Other Dies.. Quickutz. Some of the buttons have been covered with Ice Stickles.. it's a shame you can't see the colours esp from the glimmer mist's..they give a great shimmer effect.

Yes I know ... It's a Hallowen layout, I know what your thinking "A Hallowen Layout and we've just had Christmas"

But you must remember that I'm new to Scrapbooking and things take time... well maybe it shouldn't take quite this long... but hey...I've just broken my own record and posted two pages in the same month..Actually in the same week which is Amazing.

So Lorna... here it is... My Hallowen Layout complete with stitch line (at least until I have my CS3 photoshop working.)

It's Slightly rushed but please keep in mind that this is only my fourth ever layout.

Stay tuned for next page... Rachael does Barbie.

Last Day Of Christmas

Today is the 6th of January the 12th night.. the last day of Christmas so down come the trimmings.

Rachael has gone back to Uni.. Most people are back in work, unless your one of the lucky ones like myself that has managed to get a few extra days off.
I read a blog today, on it they were complaining that Christmas wasn't like it used to be.. it's to COMMERCIAL...
That so annoys me... If it's to commercial it's because they themselves are making so.
My Christmas had presents ... yes... but there was also baking, singing, family, church old friends and laughter.

Christmas is what YOU make it and if you want to get caught up in the Commercial side of things.. then go ahead. In my family we keep traditions and Christmas is what it's always been.

I should be putting the decorations away.. but instead I was slightly distracted with photos.. and scrapped this page of my Daughter when she was age between 3-4. (memory isn't what it was)

What suprises will the new year have in store for us all

Here's hoping it's a good year!
