My Little Girl...to me will always be... the prettiest flower in the garden.
I've discovered a software package
called Serif Pageplus 9
which allows me to play with words.. and how they are laid out.
I just love it.. I can wrap words in a circle...and lot's of different shapes...

I intend to experiment some more and hopefully post some results.

I used it to make the heading of this Layout of my DD Rachael.
She was such a happy little girl.
When we are together there are always lot's of smiles.

Just a few cards

I thought it was time I posted something for Lorna.. you must be getting fed up of not having anything new to look at so here goes.

Rachael my darling daughter starts her second year of university today.
I think she'll be glad to have a reason to get up in the mornings again..... or maybe not lol....

I just had to post a picture of the birthday card she made for me.. because I'm so proud of her. A beautiful Basset Hound looking longingly at it's little birthday cup cake. I was so pleased with what she had drawn for me.

and the bird is a little "Thank You" card she made which I quickly took a pic of before she sent it.
Proud Mums... what can I say... Ssshhh don't tell.

Below are some cards i've recently made for some birthday's etc... Happy Crafting..

Until the next time....

My Oh My

Have I really been away from my blog for sooooooo.... Long. Sorry I've been busy with my bosses wedding all finished now.

Here are a few cards I made with my fav.. Magnolia Stamps and Copic Markers. I just LOVE Magnolia stamps... put Magnolia and Copic together and I'm a Happy Girl.
Below is a little Digi Stamp..That I came across on Etsy.

I first saw them on the Stamping Caz web site and had to investigate further as I had never heard of DigiStamps before...

What a fantastic idea.... you just pay to download the images.. no storage problems... you can resize pic to what ever suites your card best...
I thought this one was Really sweet!

Virtual Crop

This weekend I took part in a Virtual Crop... Having signed up for this event I really didn't know what to expect and thought I'd just sign up for a nose and see what was going on.
But boy did I have fun. There was speed L/O. where a sketch is posted on the Message Board and a certain amount of time is given for you to post your L/O before the deadline. We played bingo, watched tutorials and took part in Scavenger hunts.

This is one of the pages I scrapped on the Virtual Crop Day.
I found it so much easier having a Sketch to follow.. it ment I could just think about colours and get on with what I wanted on the page.

Here's another L/O I completed which had certain requirements for the crop.

The L/O had to incorporate the following eliments... a peice of ribbon..three embelishments.. two different alphabets and four pics.

Volia...
So.. if you ever have a chance to join in a virtual crop... I highly recommended it.
More News..

My friend Lorna has given birth to a scrumcious baby boy Congratulations Lorna and Family

My darling daughter Rachael has completed her first year Uni

.......and I have a new camera.. which I still haven't worked out how to fully use...
But hopefully will be posting pics in the not to distant future.
Bye for nowxxxx

Lazy Me

I don't beleive it's been so long since I've last posted.

I think I must be spending more time reading other peoples blogs and forgetting to write my own haahhah
Here's a quick Mother's day card that was made for my mother in law.

I stitched and beaded the dragonfly.. which looks lovely when the beads catch the sunlight. Then added some pretty background papers and ribbons embossed some card using one of the Cuttle bug folders..a touch of ink and finished.
I really like the way the orange and green works together.

I've also had a wedding anniversary and so made a really quick card for my darling husband...

Who normally forgets.. so I wasn't going to bother.

Hence the quick card. " You stay in bed babes while I make you coffee.. out with the tape and the stamps.

I think I just got away with it...

Though he did wonder why it took so long to make the coffee . lol

I was also asked to make a name for a little girl called MACEY.

Who has Teddy Bears all around her bedroom.

This is made using Sizzix Bigz alphabet letter which are cut out in cardboard and glued together then paint or cover with paper...etc

The Teddy Bears are make from air dry clay and Ranger paints using moulds.

Currently working on a wedding.. so when that's completed I'll have more time to play.

That's all for now

Layout No 5

Here's a Quick attempt at a Christmas Layout. Rachael was 3 to 4 years old in this pic... it was her 1st visit to see Santa. I So wish I had taken more pictures when she was younger.
You can never seem to have enough when they are all grown up.

Background paper made by myself using glimmer mist's... Perfect Pearls and some Tim Holtz Inks. Alphabet is Broadway Melody.
All Other Dies.. Quickutz. Some of the buttons have been covered with Ice Stickles.. it's a shame you can't see the colours esp from the glimmer mist's..they give a great shimmer effect.

It's Slightly rushed but please keep in mind that this is only my fourth ever layout.
